OUR CREW
The founders of Stamps Backpackers, Mike & Milky, are both extremely well-seasoned travelers and have built Stamps Backpackers around their collective travel experiences. Every aspect of Stamps Backpackers has been inspired by their most memorable stays from around the globe.
Both Mike & Milky have extensive knowledge of Thailand and Southeast Asia. Milky has a background as a tour guide throughout Thailand for over 5 years so if you need help or recommendations for the most amazing adventures for making your stay in Chiang Mai memorable and fun-filled, she's your girl! Mike has been traveling around the globe and back and forth from Canada to Asia for ten years before settling in Chiang Mai so he understands the needs and expectations of travelers from around the world and will ensure that you are well taken care of. All Stamps Thai staff have studied English in university, which gives them the opportunity to share their first-hand knowledge of Chiang Mai and Thai culture and listen, commiserate (and understand) your daily travel stories! Stamps Backpackers is located in a prime location to make your stay easy and accessible! We are only 1 km away from Chiang Mai’s ancient city gate - Phae Gate. We are steps away from the old city and a 5 minute walk to all major bars and Chiang Mai nightlife.
We are surrounded by fabulous and cheap street food and vendors. Stamps Backpackers is just around the corner from the main road to access taxis and transport and easy drop off points to get back to us.
We are close to all major temples and attractions and have scooter and bike rental shops within walking distance.

OUR FACILITIES
Based on our travel experiences we understand the needs of hostel travelers and are proud to be the originator of the first Semi-Private dorm rooms in Chiang Mai. These unique rooms offer you the privacy and comfort of a private room with the social benefits of a dorm. Each room is complete with a western style bathroom & shower, big lockers and high speed internet! We also have Semi Private Bunkbed Dorm Rooms. Which offer more privacy than a conventional dorm room. Our Bunkbed Dorms include fans (to keep the cost down for the budget travelers) and are also equipped with western style bathrooms and shower, large lockers and free high speed wifi.
Our hostel is highly social with our friendly (and well-stocked) bar being the centre point of our common area. Our bar offers cheap drinks to keep you on budget!! We have daily contests, amazing Chiang Mai Adventures and a social board that we invite our travelers to write on to encourage new friendships or stories of their adventures in Chiang Mai. We arrange social activities nightly to bring our travel family together making lifelong friendships, new travel buddies or a new global drinking team.
